A Kuwaiti bank needed to modernise application delivery and reduce dependency on traditional VM-based infrastructure, while maintaining the strict availability requirements of a financial institution.
The challenge
The bank's development teams were ready for containerised workloads, but the infrastructure team had no OpenShift experience. The requirement was for three fully isolated environments — production, pre-production, and DR — on existing Nutanix nodes.
The solution
IPI-based OpenShift deployment across three cluster environments on Nutanix AHV. Nutanix CSI for persistent storage, OVN-Kubernetes for network policy, and a structured knowledge transfer programme for the internal team.
